Italy Wedding

Stop Dreaming Start Planning

As summer approaches so does the sound of wedding bells. If you’re planning your big day, why not get married in Italy. Every year more and more couples are getting married here. Where else can you take a gondola ride after the wedding ceremony.

It’s no coincidence Italy has given the world some of its greatest romantics, whether it’s the stunning setting, outstanding food or the romantic atmosphere. It only takes one to look at the beautiful country to understand the power it has on the heart strings. The region’s gorgeous coastline, with its colourful towns set into the towering rocks, impeccably kept villa gardens, not to mention the incredible food, are all ingredients that make you think of a film star’s wedding ceremony.

The most exclusive palaces in historical cities, frescoed villas with gardens full of flowers sloping down towards the water, ancient castles perched upon a hill in the countryside... The possibilities are endless, Italy offers the most beautiful alternatives to suit every style and need: from elegant to romantic, from intimate weddings to large family celebrations. Ideal venues for an intimate wedding in Italy are exquisite boutique hotels located in charming medieval towns, or lovely farmhouses immersed in a peaceful countryside. Historical places to get married in Italy include centuries-old churches, finely restored castles, and exquisitely decorated villas surrounded by luxuriant gardens.

Tuscany

Tuscany with its rolling hills, Castles and vineyards. These are only few of the reasons why many couples have already decided to get married here.  Tuscany enchants us today because it holds together as a region, from the tiniest hamlet to Florence the Magnificent. For the living proof, take a short walk one day along the sides of the Belvedere in Florence: you will leave behind the traffic and suddenly find yourself strolling down quiet lanes bounded by tall stone walls, cypress trees and creamy-coloured villas.

The Amalfi Coast

With its fabled coastline and picturesque cliff top towns. If you have ever dreamed about the perfect Italian Wedding Location, you have certainly dreamed of Getting Married in

Amalfi. When you come to Amalfi, the panorama is wonderful. White houses clinged on the rocks are opposed to the big Saint Andrew Church, located in the middle of the town. Amalfi is full of steps and to arrive to the Cathedral there is a long way of 57 steps! You can imagine with all the steps the kind of view that awaits at the top!  Hundreds of Weddings are Celebrated in Amalfi every year thanks to its special natural beauty and climate and unbeatable style and panorama.

Sorrento

This gorgeous town facing the Bay of Naples is one of the most requested locations for destination weddings in Southern Italy, thanks to its impressive tuff cliffs and sunny seascapes.

According to a legend, Sorrento is the place where Ulysses was tempted by the song of the Sirens – and maybe their enchanted call has never lost its attractive power. But its history is even older than that: when the beauty of Capri or Positano was still unknown, Sorrento had already been discovered by Phoenicians. They were followed by Greeks, Romans, Normans and many famous visitors such as Lord Byron, Keats, Goethe and Walter Scott. When Sorrento was annexed to the new Kingdom of Italy in 1861, it increased its status of one of the most renowned tourist resorts in Italy, and it’s easy to understand why: Sorrento has all the most appealing aspects of Italy: stunning natural beauty, history, excellent food, shopping and lots of friendliness.

Lake Como

The third largest Italian lake. It is famous all over the world for its wonderful and romantic landscapes, the perfect destination for a luxury wedding in Italy. On its shores you can find many picturesque villages, like Bellagio, Menaggio, Lenno, Tremezzo and Varenna, with their beautiful villas and gorgeous gardens. Many movies directors chose it as set of their masterpieces for its uncommon beauty! Lake Como is one of the favourite destinations for foreign couples who want to marry in a magical Italian location. Thanks to its geographical setting and its mild climate, weddings can be planned from March up to October-November.

Lake Garda

For sure one of the most known lakes of Italian Lakes District. It is located between Veneto and Lombardy regions and it is the biggest Italian Lake. It has a great wonderful appeal and it could be surely a wonderful wedding destination. Renaissance villas, quaint villages with their lovely narrow roads and little shops, nice restaurants and wine cellars could be the perfect reception venues for an unforgettable wedding. Here you could enjoy wonderful nature: cypresses, lemon trees and olive groves, bougainvillea, gardens, parks, impressive view over the sky and the waters. And what about its mild climate and enchanting colours?

Lake Maggiore is the second largest Italian Lake, descending from the Ticino, in Switzerland, its shores covers two regions: Piedmont and Lombardy. Lake Maggiore has been a favourite destination with the British who have been enticed by its Mediterranean atmosphere and legendary beauty. In the coastal areas the climate is temperate, and the winters are always mild.

Lake Orta

Lake Orta is certainly the most romantic location in the Lake District. Hills and mountains are very close to the Lake thus lending a fairy-tale atmosphere to the villages surrounding the water. Orta San Giulio is at the end of a small peninsula that juts out into Lake Orta.  This charming lake, surrounded by gentle hills, is the most enchanting and romantic of the Italian Lakes. Its romance has inspired artists, poets and writers from all over the world for century and for lovers it is hopelessly romantic, will have the same atmosphere as in the ancient times and you will live and relive it as in a fairytale.

Lake Bracciano

Just few steps from Rome

Beauty of nature, landscapes, the historical, cultural heritage with its archeological and artistic richness: these are the ingredients which make Lake Bracciano a wonderful wedding destination appreciated by couples all over of the world. Three towns are just on its shores: Bracciano, Trevignano Romano and Anguillara Sabazia. Lake Bracciano is one of the biggest Lake of Southern region in region Lazio, where wonderful Rome is, and it is one of the major lakes of Italy.

This romantic and quaint spot of Italy is surrounded by forests, olive groves and gardens the perfect frame for a traditional Italian wedding right into history.

Capri

Choose a destination wedding in Capri. It has been said that “there are more myth and history in a small wave of the Mediterranean than in the waters of all the other oceans”. And certainly, the small island of Capri is the quintessence of the Mediterranean, the place where myth and history are still alive and talk to us. Inhabited since prehistoric times, Capri was a favourite resort for the rulers of the ancient world, the Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius, who built magnificent villas overlooking its incredible vistas, and gardens full of fragrant flowers whose remains are still visible today. The isle of Capri has two souls: one is silent, secluded, contemplative, the other is friendly, a bit noisy and light-hearted. These two different souls are embodied in the two towns, Capri town with its glamorous little square, the Piazzetta, its first-class hotels, excellent restaurants and boutiques, and Anacapri, an excellent getaway for walks to the splendid villas Damecuta and San Michele.

Sicily

The island in the sun, is home to heavenly beaches, majestic mountains and Europe‘s greatest natural wonder, Mount EtnaSicily’s coasts are gold with orange and lemon orchards. In north-eastern Sicily you’ll find lush forests, while in the central regions you’ll encounter rugged land and rolling hills. Dignified vineyards, ancient olive groves, hardy almond orchards and endless wheat fields complete the picture. Summer is amber land under a sky of blue. Winter finds palm trees dusted with snow in a surreal symphony. Spring is a rainbow of wild flowers set against greenest fields…Try to imagine your dream come true: Get Married in Sicily, celebrating a feast for all the senses.
